Battery Installation Tips: - Remove any jewelry and use insulated tools. - Do not short circuit the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals with anything metal. - Confirm that the charge cord is unplugged and the power switch is in the OFF (0) position. When installing a battery: - The red, positive (+), terminal should be connected first, then connect the black, negative (-), terminal. - It is normal for a small spark to occur during initial battery connection. - Ensure that the battery is strapped down securely and terminals connections are snug. - Slide rubber boots to cover the battery terminals. When removing a battery: - The negative (-) terminal should be disconnected first, then disconnect the positive (+) terminal.
