Do I need a Wireless Printer for mobile cart applications?

As long as a laptop, thin client, or PC is wireless then it can print to a wired printer via USB , Serial or Parallel communication - Hard Wired, Tethered. The label formats would be on the laptop designed under Bartender, Loftware, Nicelabel, TL Ashford, etc. and possibly the databases. However, the databases could also be on a server which is more typical and easier for IT to control and multiple users can share the files. Once the print command is initiated, typically after a �key� field is entered (PN , Order #, PO #), the format will transmit to the database and populate the label and then print locally to the printer. Basically, if WiFi exists, reports can be printed from CRM on a cart with laptop using ; this is also true for label printing. The drawback to locally configured printer is that no one else can print to it.
