How to adjust slide out printer tray

The silver latch is the part that needs to be adjusted. Use an adjustable wrench to bend the small tab to 90 degrees as shown. Be sure to tighten the wrench snug to the thickness of the tab and choke right up to the bend before applying force. Do this little by little and test the latch each time. Overbending will also have consequence. Additionally, too much force may result in unintentionally yielding other components. (please see attached photos)
