What hot-swap solutions does Newcastle offer?
What uninterruptible power solutions does Newcastle offer?
The Nucleus Classic offers this feature by swapping batteries one at a time. The Transfer Switch accessory can be used to plug into a wall outlet while swapping batteries. A Back-UPS device (APC) can be purchased. INTERNAL NOTES: I bought a UPS and did some preliminary testing using Olsons office devices. Here are my notes: UPS Model: https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_File_Name=JSIE-AAPK43_R0_EN.pdf&p_Doc_Ref=SPD_JSIE-AAPK43_EN&p_enDocType=Brochure Our Cost: $45 It has 6 outlets and can replace the $15 power strip. Testing with CPU, Monitor, Zebra ZT410 (90W). 1 minute on backup power (for this load) will require about 20 minutes until UPS is fully charged. 3% runtime diminished compared to if Nucleus Mini w/o UPS needing to be recharged. Can even print labels while on backup without issue. UPS will support this 90W load for 17 minutes. UPS can provide up to 250W but would only last 2 minutes. It will take 8 hours to recharge from full depletion but a swap should only take less than a minute so the UPS should never go much below 95% charged.
